Cancellation Policy and Booking Conditions

Fondue adventure at El Refugio

Dear Customer,
We want to make sure you are aware of our cancellation policies and general conditions for the Adventure with Fondue excursion at El Refugio that you have booked with us.

1. Booking Confirmation

• Once we receive your booking confirmation and the 25% deposit payment, the contract will be considered concluded and the conditions detailed in this document will be in effect.

2. Importance and Conditions of the Sign

Paying the deposit guarantees your place on the excursion and allows us to begin the necessary logistical preparations for its execution.

• This amount is non-refundable, as it involves a reserve of resources and limited slots.

• In the event that the snowmobile excursion cannot be carried out due to weather conditions, the excursion with ascent in Land Rovers 4×4 will be carried out, in which the deposit will be taken as part of the payment.
• If the excursion is suspended by decision of the operating team (for safety reasons or force majeure), 100% of the amount paid, including the deposit, will be refunded.

3. Cancellation by the Customer

General Cancellations:

• If you cancel the reservation, you must give 72 hours’ notice before the date of the excursion and the 25% deposit is non-refundable.

• If the cancellation is requested less than 72 hours in advance, the full balance of the reservation will be charged.

4. Ascent according to weather conditions

• If weather conditions do not permit the snowmobile ascent (due to lack of snow), the excursion will be in Land Rover 4×4 vehicles. The price of the excursion will be reduced to 75%. The 25% deposit is non-refundable but will be applied towards the cost of the excursion.

• Important: If the customer decides not to participate in the excursion, please note that the deposit is non-refundable.

• If the excursion is suspended in its entirety by decision of the operating team (for reasons of force majeure or safety), 100% of the amount paid will be refunded, including the deposit.

5. Participant Responsibility

• It is the passenger’s responsibility:
  • Please inform us in advance of any changes to your travel date or accommodation location so we can properly coordinate your transfer.

  • Please be present at the designated time and place for the start of the transfer. If you do not arrive at the scheduled time, the tour will be considered completed without refund.

  • Please communicate in advance any relevant medical or physical condition that could affect your participation.

6. Conditions of the Activity

• Only people over 18 years of age will be allowed to drive snowmobiles.

• This is an adventure activity subject to weather conditions. For safety reasons, it may be cancelled even on the same day if the operations team determines that the necessary conditions are not met to guarantee the safety of all participants.

• The activity takes place in a natural and remote environment; its development is subject to the criteria of the operational team, always prioritizing the well-being of the participants.

7. Acceptance of the Terms

By making the reservation and paying the deposit, you accept the cancellation conditions and understand that the deposit is non-refundable.

Terms and Conditions: Snow Insurance

1. Nature of the Benefit

The “Snow Insurance” is a guarantee that protects the customer’s investment. If the snowmobile activity cannot take place due to lack of snow (a technical decision by the company) or cancellation by the customer for personal reasons, the amount paid in dollars will not be refunded, but will be credited to their account.

2. Credit Activation and Notification

To use this benefit, the customer must notify their decision to opt for the credit instead of taking the tour in an alternative vehicle (if available) at least 72 hours in advance.

This notification must be made exclusively by email to reservas@elrefugioarelauquen.com.ar, indicating the customer’s full name and reservation number. Notifications via social media or instant messaging will not be accepted for this purpose.

3. Validity and Application

The credit can be used during the 2026 and 2027 winter seasons.

The amount will be considered a payment on account. If there is a fare difference at the time of the new booking, the customer must pay the remaining balance at the rate in effect on the day of the trip.

Use of this benefit is subject to availability.

4. Transferability

The credit is transferable to another person. For a third party to use it, the original booking holder must send an email authorizing the transfer and including the following information for the new beneficiary:
