Terms & Conditions

Terms of Service

Cancellation policy and booking conditions for the “Fondue Adventure at El Refugio” that you booked with us.

Dear Customer,

We would like to ensure you are aware of our cancellation policies and general conditions for the Fondue Adventure at El Refugio tour you have booked with us.

Booking Confirmation

As soon as we receive confirmation of your booking and the 25% deposit payment, the contract will be considered finalized and the conditions detailed in this document will apply.

Importance and Deposit Conditions

  • The deposit payment guarantees your spot on the tour and allows the start of the necessary logistical preparations.
  • This amount is non-refundable, as it involves reserving limited resources and space.
  • If the snowmobile tour cannot be operated due to weather conditions, the tour will be conducted with an ascent in 4×4 Land Rovers and an ATV tour, with the deposit being applied toward the payment.
  • If the excursion is canceled by the operations team (for safety reasons or force majeure), 100% of the amount paid, including the deposit, will be refunded.

Cancellation by the Client

General Cancellations:

  • In the event of canceling your reservation, you must notify us 72 hours in advance of the excursion date. The 25% deposit is non-refundable.
  • If the cancellation is requested less than 72 hours in advance, the full amount will be charged.

Adaptations due to Weather Conditions

Our priority is to provide a safe adventure experience.

  • When snow conditions permit operation, the tour is conducted normally with snowmobiles.
  • If snow conditions are not suitable for the use of snowmobiles, access to the Refuge will be conducted in a 4×4 Land Rover Defender and, once on the mountain, passengers will enjoy a guided ATV circuit, maintaining the adventure experience, access to the Refuge, gastronomy, and all other included services.
  • In this case, the tour price will have a 15% discount on the original rate.

Participant Responsibilities

The passenger is responsible for:

  1. Notifying us in advance of any changes to the travel date or accommodations so that we can properly coordinate the transfer.
  2. Being present at the indicated time and location for the start of the transfer. If the passenger fails to show up at the scheduled time, the excursion will be considered completed without the right to a refund.
  3. Notifying us in advance of any relevant medical or physical conditions that could affect their participation.

Activity Conditions

  • Only individuals over 18 years of age may drive snowmobiles.
  • If the activity is conducted using ATVs, only individuals over 18 years of age may drive them.
  • The activity takes place in a natural mountain environment and is subject to weather conditions.
  • The route and mode of the tour may be altered by the operational team whenever necessary to preserve the safety of the participants.
  • All operational decisions will be made prioritizing safety and the best possible experience for passengers.

Acceptance of Conditions

By placing the reservation and making the deposit payment, you accept the cancellation conditions and understand that the deposit is non-refundable.

Terms and Conditions: Snow Insurance

1. Nature of the Benefit

The “Snow Insurance” is a guarantee that protects the client’s investment. If the snowmobile activity cannot be conducted due to lack of snow (technical decision of the company) or due to cancellation by the client for personal reasons, the amount paid in dollars will not be refunded, but will remain as a credit in favor of the client.

2. Credit Activation and Notification

To make use of this benefit, the client must notify their decision to opt for the credit (instead of taking the tour in an alternative vehicle, if available) at least 72 hours in advance.

Such notification must be made exclusively by email to reservas@elrefugioarelauquen.com.ar, stating full name and reservation number. Notices via social media or messaging applications will not be accepted for this purpose.

3. Validity and Application

  • The credit may be used during the 2026 and 2027 winter seasons.
  • The amount will be considered as full or partial payment. If at the time of the new booking there is a difference in fare, the client must pay the remaining balance according to the rate in effect on the day of the tour.
  • The use of the benefit is strictly subject to the company’s availability.

4. Transferability

The credit is transferable to another person. For a third party to use the credit, the original reservation holder must send an email authorizing the transfer and including the following details of the new beneficiary:

  • Full name and ID (National ID/Passport).
  • Contact phone number.
  • Intended date of use (subject to availability).

5. “No Show” Policy (Failure to Appear)

If the client fails to show up on the scheduled day and time without having provided email notification 72 hours in advance as mentioned in Clause 2, the credit will be considered expired, without the right to rescheduling or future use.
